OCCAR-EA Director participates as speaker at BERLIN SECURITY CONFERENCE (BSC)

BERLIN, 29 Nov, 2023 --The OCCAR-EA Director, Mr. Joachim Sucker attended the Berlin Security Conference (BSC) as a panel participant. The BSC is a high-level congress on European Security and Defence. The Director was invited as one of the panellists along with CEOs and National Armament Directors (NADs) in the EU and NATO to participate in a discussion panel on Trans-Atlantic Defence Procurement where he presented his view on OCCAR’s cooperative role in armament programmes management.

During his latest visit to Berlin, the OCCAR-EA Director also had various consultations with high-level industrial and political representatives meeting amongst others with the Bundesverband der Deutschen Luft und Raumfahrtindustrie e.V, BDLI, (an association of the German aeronautical and space industry) and attending an executive-level reception at the Dutch Embassy in Berlin. These high-level events provide an important platform for the Director to advocate the importance of OCCAR as an option for Nations for vital cooperation in the armaments programme management area.
