United Kingdom A Cornerstone of OCCAR European Cooperation


Bonn/Germany - 12 May 2026 – The OCCAR (Organisation for Joint Armament Co-operation)-Executive Administration (EA) Senior Executive Team, Director Joachim Sucker and Head of Programmes Darren Ash, welcomed Lt Gen Anna-Lee Reilly CB FREng The National Armaments Director Group Director and Group Director General Material, to the OCCAR-EA Headquarters in Bonn.

Accompanied by senior UK programme representatives, Lieutenant General Reilly used the visit to gain a deeper understanding of OCCAR’s mission and its central role in strengthening European defence cooperation. She also reviewed the United Kingdom’s extensive portfolio of programmes managed through the Organisation, underlining the country’s significant contribution to OCCAR’s activities.

During her visit, Lieutenant General Reilly met with UK national staff working within OCCAR. She provided an update on ongoing UK Defence Reform initiatives and expressed her appreciation for their continued commitment and valuable contributions to the organisation’s work.

The visit reaffirmed the United Kingdom’s position as a key OCCAR Member State and highlighted its vital role in advancing multinational cooperation. It also underscored the importance of strong partnerships in delivering complex defence capabilities across Europe in collaboration with European allies.
