OCCAR-EA Director Visits SeaFuture2025

La Spezia/Italy 29-30 September, 2025 - OCCAR-EA Director, Joachim Sucker concluded another successful annual visit and participation in SeaFuture2025. 

On the opening day of SeaFuture2025,  Mr. Sucker opened an OCCAR-organised panel entitled “OCCAR's Maritime Platforms: Delivering Today's Capabilities, Shaping Tomorrow's European Forces” during which OCCAR´s numerous Naval Programmes (MMPC, PPA, MMCM, LSS, PPA, Horizon MLU, FREMM and U212 NFS) were presented by two of OCCAR Programme Managers, Mr. Andrea Millerani Trapani who leads the the Programme Manager for the MMPC (Multi Modular Patrol Corvette) Programme and Mr. Decio Trinca, who heads the OCCAR U212 NFS Programme.

During his two-day visit, Mr. Sucker held important consultations with senior Italian Naval Officials including the Italian National Armaments Director, Vice-Admiral Giacinto Ottaviani and the Italian Programme Committee Representative Vice Admiral Giuseppe Abbamonte, Director of the Italian Naval Directorate. Further meetings were held with Industry representatives including RENK, Fincanteri, and the EPC Consortium comprising Naviris, Fincanteri, Naval Group and Navantia.
