OCCAR-EA Director signs General Security Agreement with Republic of Slovakia

Bonn/Germany, 11 April 2025 - OCCAR-EA Director, Mr. Joachim Sucker has signed the General Security Agreement with the Republic of Slovakia at the OCCAR premises in Bonn, Germany. This event was attended by Mr. René Baran, Director of the International Relations and Security Policy Division, representing the Slovakian National Security Authority.

The agreement is the result of successful negotiations between OCCAR-EA and the Slovakian National Security Authority, which commenced in April 2023. These negotiations were marked by a spirit of cooperation and mutual understanding, ultimately leading to the formalization of this agreement.

Although Slovakia is not currently participating in any programme managed by OCCAR, the signing of this Security Agreement represents a substantial step forward in establishing and developing a collaborative relationship between OCCAR and the Republic of Slovakia. This agreement lays the groundwork for future cooperation and underscores the commitment of both parties to enhancing security and international relations.
