OCCAR Visits MT Propeller Factory

Straubing, Germany, 24 September 2025 – A delegation from OCCAR MALE RPAS (Eurodrone) Programme Division recently visited MT Propeller Entwicklung GmbH production facilities in Straubing, Wallmühle Airport in Bavaria.
The OCCAR (Organisation for Joint Armament Co-operation)delegation was received by the MT propeller personnel together with representatives from Avio Aero.

MT propeller, founded in 1981, is a leading manufacturer of state-of-the-art natural composite propellers for single and twin-engine aircrafts, airships, wind tunnels and other special applications. MT Propeller has been selected as supplier by Avio Aero to provide the propeller installed on the Catalyst engine which equip the Eurodrone.
During the visit OCCAR staff had the opportunity to observe the unique manufacturing process of the composite blades, the fully robotized line for the machinery of the propeller alloy hub, as well as the integration and servicing facilities. The visit underscored MT Propeller´s commitment to excellence, supporting innovation and fostering partnerships within the aerospace and defence industries.

OCCAR´s visit to MT propeller is one of similar visits performed and planned to selected European companies that are providing top technology for the Eurodrone Programme. The Eurodrone will benefit of a full European supply chain securing the future of the programme against geo-political instabilities and strengthening collaboration between defence European companies.
