OCCAR - Shaping the Future of European Defence with Cooperation - Combined Naval Event (CNE 2025)

Farnborough/UK 21-22 May, 2025 – An overview of OCCAR (Organisation for Joint Armament Co-operation)’s role in the shaping of European Defence was presented at the prestigious Combined Naval Event (CNE) 2025, organised in addition to detail regarding OCCAR Programmes within the naval domain. OCCAR Delegate Mr. Lorenzo Poliseno the OCCAR Integration & Programme Management (IPM) Section Leader, provided a comprehensive account of the Organisation and its role, with focus on the Naval domain, underlining the strengths associated with current Defence cooperation and highlighting the potential for pan-domain future collaboration with our European and International partners.

OCCAR’s participation in CNE 2025 underscored its commitment to fostering collaboration and driving excellence in naval and underwater innovation, confirming its position as a leading authority in advancing European Defence capabilities and solidifying its central role in shaping the future of European Defence.

Also invited to present at CNE 2025, was the OCCAR Maritime Mine Counter Measures (MMCM) Programme represented by Mr.Oliver MMCM Operational Coordination Officer of the OCCAR FR/UK MMCM Programme Division who provided the audience with an update of the Programme by opening the forum on underwater defence and security. Highlights presented were the recent delivery to the UK and FR of the system and the continued delivery over the next 12 months.
