Le Plessis-Robinson/France 5-6
March 2025 - Following the successful achievement of its first milestone (the
Solution Space Review - SSR), the OCCAR HYDIS Programme Participating States
(DE, FR, IT and NL) convened for their 5th Workshop, hosted by MBDA France.
The gathering brought together representatives from industry and Nations who
engaged in constructive and insightful discussions on critical aspects of the
interceptor’s life cycle, such as its reliability against the unprecedented
environmental challenges (like thermal, mechanical and electromagnetic effects),
the safety tolerances and parameters of the weapon system, the constraints
linked with the launching platform integrability, and the weapon system’s sustainability
and affordability during prolonged operational deployments in severe environmental
conditions.
The outcome of these discussions, facilitated by the MBDA integrated team,
along with the valuable complementary information provided by Nations on the expected
evolution of national surface launching platforms, radar sensors and tactical datalinks,
will provide the Consortium with essential information in supporting their
effort in assessing the maturity of the several concepts laid down as outcomes
of the Solution Space gate.
A 6th User Workshop is planned for the
end of April 2025 in Paris, aimed at finding solutions to meet the demanding integration
requirements of the weapon system with the national ground and naval platforms.
